Founded in 1991 by Tom Ryan after years of hands-on industry experience, the company quickly earned a reputation for reliability, craftsmanship, and execution. Under Tom’s leadership, Ryan Contracting grew into one of the dominant heavy/highway contractors in the Minnesota market.

Today, we continue to build on that foundation.

In 2026, Tom transitioned the business to second-generation ownership under Andy Ryan and Troy Ouverson. With a deep respect for the company’s legacy and a clear vision for the future, Andy and Troy are investing heavily in people, equipment, and technology—ensuring Ryan Contracting remains a leader in the industry for decades to come.
